Radon Mitigation Photo Album: Vapor Barrier sealing over exposed dirt floor crawl spaces in Darien, CT

The homeowner had slighly elevated radon concentrations in the liveable areas above multiple dirt crawl spaces in their home. As a first step attempt to reduce airborne radon concentartions on the first floor, we went into all the crawl spaces and sealed a heavy duty cross laminated poly vapor barrier over the exposed dirt floors, and also covered the perimeter walls of the crawl spaces. This will also help cut down on musty smells and vapor transmission to the first floor.
